Overdue proofreading and editing. This is a Halloween revision, started while preparing pumpkin pie, and finished while eating it.

The geek in me prevents me to realise it's saturday, and that the music festival is tonight, yet I am working on the document. Infra-red now works correctly for me to synchronise my Palm, and to establish a PPP link through my phone.
